You May Cry 04:25
You may cry like a child When you don’t get what you need Left to wonder sometimes Is there someone there for me Have no fear hear my friend There’s a lot left to complete And you’re feeling dull in deed But there’s a world outside that’s free You were with me all the time But you know that’s not quite right you are deceiving Yet somehow you make a mind To pray to the god in me you think you’re seeing, Well you’re the only reason You’re standing here today But the brink of revelations say To yourself you don’t believe You’re loosing your mind We all do from time to time Oh try though we might We may never see the light And it seems that if we do it will be later on in life There’s a way where there’s a will And in your mind you’re doing time In your mind you’re doing time Yes in your mind you’re doing time You were with me all the time But you know that’s not quite right you are deceiving Yet somehow you make a mind To run to the door when you have no good reason Just left to leave it It goes on for too long, These impressions that are so Just remember to believe, You can let it go With love eternally Oh why make a mind Stay away most all the time Just come home just come home I’ve been waiting half the night Oh why make a mind Stay away most all the time Just come home just come home I’ve been waiting half the night

Sky was sinking and I don’t know why He pulled a knife in the stormy sky Song was merely vision off a plane Stars swollen a particular way Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your own Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your home Shades gathering up at the bar Early memories of soulful offers of Nearby waiting till the shocking came Describe himself in a particular way Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your own Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your home And you owe it all away and owe it all away (don’t forget you self) Mama said child ma Trapped a work around in Chinatown found an alleyway his soul went down Fevered poppy knows the game Kaliedescopic a particular way Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your own Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your home Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your own Out on the Horizon, a few words to call your home

Better Days 03:55
Lord knows we’ll all see better days, Lord knows we been down on our knees Sleep was filled last night with real bad dreams, our friends had become our enemies In times like these all that you can see what's in front of you that's not all you've got Find your way to a new remedy cause this world got more love than you thought Waaaaaah wa dap bwadup bwaaa bwadup bwaaa wa dap bwadup bwaaa (We’ll all see better days) Don't forget compassion others have shown, when you’re down you can find a new heart. It feels so good to take just one deep breath let it out, and dust yourself off In times like these all that you can see what's in front of you that's not all you've got Find your way to a new remedy cause this world got more love than you thought Waaaaaah wa dap bwadup bwaaa wa dap bwadup bwaaa (We’ll all see better days) All we need is some laughter Just some sunshine All we need is a feeling, so easy to find Say an simple prayer for the world around you don’t lose your mind Waaaaaah wa dap bwadup bwaaa wa dap bwadup bwaaa (We’ll all see better days)

When everything seems so black and blue And only thing I think about is me and you Wish there was something more I could say, but I feel my words escape So what’s the thing to just to put on some daze Don’t tell me it’s through, I want the rest of my days Slowly getting over , slowly getting over, slowly over you Slowly getting over , slowly getting over, slowly over you When everything seems so blue and grey, clouds in my mind on a sunny day Wish there was something to clear my eyes, but I’m frozen up inside So what’s the thing to do just put on some daze Don’t tell me it’s through, I want the rest of my days Slowly getting over , slowly getting over, slowly over you Slowly getting over , slowly getting over, slowly over you

I miss you in the morning cup of coffee, a fleeting thought And I know if I keep my eyes open, It's easy to turn it off But I miss you still as I always will I miss you every season lonely feeling, the medicine tastes On the vine, over 30 years old now, I’ve got to do whatever it takes But I miss you still as I always will Yes I miss you still as I always will Don't fade out, don't fade out friend It plays out until it ends I miss you every season, Like an echo of feelings past But I know that I'm going to make it If I'd only let the moment pass But I miss you still as I always will But I miss you still as I always will

Walkin in my sleep I saw the strangest thing Image of a figure strong and tall I knew that voice was me In a different tapestry And so I turned my ears to hear the call Crept over the edge Where somehow I’d been lead The world I found wasn’t quite the same The highs were rendered low Like the valleys the mountains sow I remembered my soul and forgot my name There’s gonna come a rumbling from in the ground The big bad one will try to shake us down Look through the sky while you remember how Cause it’s getting pretty close to now It occurred to me I’d become a willow tree Planted in the Earth so soft and fine They used to shake me round Now they want to cut me down But the man of terror ain’t gonna win this time There’s gonna come a rumbling from in the ground The big bad one will try to shake us down Look through the sky while you remember how Cause it’s getting pretty close to now The Earth will part beneath And I’ll free my tree root feet The man of terror, swallowed, and be gone Strong Wind’s gonna come Shake my branches from above And that is how I’ll wave the good man on There’s gonna come a rumbling from in the ground The big bad one will try to shake us down Look through the sky while you remember how Cause it’s getting pretty close to now I strode up past the edge To my former form and said Man may live in peace for evermore

Slow Tune 03:15
I need to find some new ideas I’m getting tired of the old ones why don’t you sit back by yourself and write another slow song When the sun sets on the hill and the mountains hit the moon gonna play another slow tune Living here on this street, feel like I made quite a comeback There’s a voice inside of that says I’m still on the wrong track Because there’s so much work to do, if you let time run you through, all your gonna do is look back Cause I gotta be moving on, gotta be moving on now Cause I gotta be moving on, gotta be moving on now Cause I’m here on this front porch swing just sitting here dozing For all purposes of mankind, you know I might as well be frozen While there’s the kids across the street, sound so happy and free to me still a life unchosen Cause I gotta be moving on, gotta be moving on now Cause I gotta be moving on, gotta be moving on now Time’s not on my side, so I might as well be praying Never cared too much, I wish that I was playing Finally crossed my mind, slipped away so many times Now I must be paying I need to find some new ideas I’m getting tired of the old ones why don’t you sit back by yourself and write another slow song When the sun sets on the hill and the mountains hit the moon, gonna play another slow tune

Cottonwood 03:06
You know I’ve lived alone most of my life, But that don’t worry me none most of the time But when the sky Fills up with a cold rain I wake at night To remember a slow pain And I know things may never be all right Chorus: Way down in Cottonwood Where a man’s misunderstood Somebody waits for me on the 21st floor Verse 2: Put on my dusty shoes and I went travelin’ down home > Put on my dusty shoes to travel down home Stood out there in the yard at night all alone And slipped away under a cold spell When I heard her speak from out of the old well She said you’d best remember me before I’m gone Because way down in Cottonwood Where a man’s misunderstood Somebody waits for me on the 21st floor Way down in Cottonwood Where a man’s misunderstood Somebody waits for me on the 21st floor And these long nights in Cottonwood She may write but it does no good And she’ll wait for me on the 21st floor Knowin I ain’t comin round no more Knowin I ain’t comin round no more

When I came to Colorado, trying to find my kin Trying to find that something, to save me from the mess I’m in Went out into the open, trying to find my love Sun is always rising, waiting for me above On summer nights, and winter days They still meet, where the road is open Trusting Sun, in the sky of grey Just might melt (the clouds away) Skeletons in my closet, ambitions in my shoe Everything is backwards so I don’t know what to do Well I’ve got to go swimming, got to cleanse myself of hate I’ve got to find jesus, I’ve got to awake So I ask you for some coffee, just something to jolt my brain But you give me something stronger and I’m trying not to go insane On summer nights, and winter days They still meet, where the road is open Trusting Sun, in the sky of grey Just might melt (the clouds away) So now I’m oscillating between leavenworth and serpentine Or Am I levitating, or have I lost my mind I turned on the station just trying to hear my call, Everybody wants the same thing, everybody wants it all I guess I’m not so different, different as I think Let’s all jump all jump in the water and take a look if I sink On summer nights, and winter days They still meet, where the road is open Trusting Sun, in the sky of grey Just might melt (the clouds away)

If life had run you through, if it ever gets to you, go to the country for a day, your perspective will change And Breathe the air around you, stillness can be found peace that lives inside you, serenity’s all around yours is the strength I need, yours is the song I sing oooh Does it matter what they say, if no one thinks my way To be out on the land, the birds will understand Breathe the air around you, stillness can be found peace that lives inside you, serenity’s all around yours is the strength I need, yours is the song I sing Spent time away from this lonely room, gotta be enough to make you change your tune Let it be known that life is free right now yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah We’ve all got somewhere left to go We’ve all got so much left to know

about

The Seers' fifth album was recorded from September of 2016 to April of 2017 in Fort Collins, Colorado with the engineering and production assistance from Darren Radach (Stout Studios, Fort Collins, CO) and Tyler Lindgren (Asymmetrical Smile Productions, Los Angeles, CO). Drawing from Americana, Folk, Indie, Pop, and Classic Alternative Rock, this record showcases the growth of the Seers as recording artists over the past seven years.

With a musical collaboration spanning more than fifteen years, the Seers have transformed their love for classic rock and experimental pop into a walking, talking, modern-day jukebox of musical versatility. With a “stunning repertoire” of over 700 covers and 100 Americana Folk Rock originals, Brian Collins and Sean Waters perform at least 125 regional shows per year while writing and recording in the studio.

Brian Collins and Sean Waters have written over 150 songs, and have released one album a year since 2012. Their 11-song debut EP, “Universal Tree” was rich with experimental, stream-of-consciousness progressive folk rock and piano ballads.

Diving deeper into their love for classic rock, two eclectic rock albums engineered and co-produced by Darren Radach: “The Seers” (2013) and “Cellophane Eyes” (2014).

In 2016, The Seers worked with Danny Kalb (Beck, Ben Harper, and Foster the People), and Airshow Mastering to release the Alternative Rock / Vintage Rock EP “Signals” to critical acclaim.

This is the Seers' fifth album.
